Thailand.
My first international trip, My honeymoon starts here with him beside me. There is some kind of excitement when you rush up to pack all your stuff just before the day you travel. Yeah, we both are roaming all over the Brigade road to pick our clothes and toiletries for our trip tomorrow. Packing goes on and on till 12.30 PM and we are excited for our first international flight tomorrow.
Dec 6, 2018 4.00 am, we are getting ready from our home and the Volvo bus to airport just takes an hour from our home. After eating the dosa which athai and aachi prepared for us, we are all set for the check-in. Immigration process takes about an hour and we talked for a while near the smoking area and then we are in the Indigo airplane by 09.15 am. we got a window seat (which gave us a little privacy since the third seat near us was empty)and kissed each other. it was a 3.30 hours journey and we reached Bangkok by 01 PM local time. There was a huge queue for Visa and we got our visa on arrival and collected our baggage after 3-4 hours. The next flight to Phuket, vietjet was delayed by an hour and took off at 07.30 PM. It was drizzling in Phuket international airport by the time we landed and we took a mini bus to reach our destination at phuket. I have got to say this, Troy guesthouse, our room at Patong, Phuket is a really good place. Thailand weather was also good during our stay. We slept off for the day since we reached late at night to the room.
On dec 7, 2018, we rented a motorcycle and my sweetheart selected the best one for me. We got up late in the morning, about 12 PM, and ordered pizza and chilled for a while. later we decided to go to the Patong beach, which is just 2 kms away from our place. We enjoyed riding jet-ski, a wonderful experience in my lifetime. My baby was riding the bike like a pro. I sat behind him and was holding him tight. we made circles in water, went a little inside of that massive sea, took photos of a cruise standing there and returned back to our room. It was beginning to get dark while my sweetheart suggested to take a visit to karon beach. And we started immediately to the hilly areas of karon village and reached karon beach, 6.5 kms from our place. It was totally dark by the time we reached karon beach, so we just saw the locality and returned back to our room. Fried rice for dinner was a horrible one and we slept peacefully after our dinner, say by 2PM.
We had a lot of plans to do on the next day. There is a trekking activity called Flying Hanuman that my sweetheart was interested in. But unfortunately on dec 8, we got up late again by 1 PM in the morning and quickly changed our plans for the day. Do not get us lazy here for 1PM in Thailand is just 11.30 AM in our place :P we took our bike and started to Big Buddha temple, a hilly area which is 21 kms away. It was not as we expected for. The temple was quite simple and nothing much was there. we could only take a lot of photos as the hill is quite above the sea level.
On dec 9, We checked out from Troy guest house and took a cruise to krabi. The sea journey was a memorable one. we went to the phi phi islands, an in between island to krabi. know what, we did snorkeling in the phi phi islands. yeah, that was indeed a crazy activity. we were given life jackets and snorkeling masks and were taken to the part of the sea where we can can dive in and look inside the sea. Obviously, I freaked out a little and pissed him well enough. Later the safety instructors guided me to the boat and all the way i could hold the instructor's hand and look into the sea. The view inside the sea is really amazing. I could see the rocks, many varieties of fishes, snakes and everything. Finally once i reached my boat and i was aware that i was safe, i captured the video of him doing the snorkeling activity. We had our lunch at the Phi Phi hotels and took a cruise to krabi.
Our stay at krabi, oh my God, he had booked a crazy home (
Jungle Village) for us. It was a bungalow indeed. It was a fully furnished luxurious home. After exploring the home, we had our dinner at the Scandinavian restaurant near our place.
Dec 10, 2018 we woke up late in the morning, and started to the Tiger cave temple in our rented motorcycle. It was a good drive for 20 kms and I have to say this, the road is too good in this city. we reached the temple by noon and know what, we climbed up the hill which had about 1330 steps. It was a very steep trek. we would have trekked for about an hour and a half approximately and reached the top while it started to drizzle. I loved the weather. The rainy breeze has something magical of its own. It lightens up the mood. Everything appeared fresh and green in this hill. We took loads of pictures from the top view and then started our way down the hills, which was pretty easy and light. The whole day went in the temple itself as it had a lot of viewpoints everyone will be dying to see. Finally we reached home, craving for food, we settled in an indian restaurant and had some good panneer gravy and rotis. During the late nights, we both were talking for a very long time and slept around at 4.30 am.

After a late night peaceful sleep, we woke up at 11.30 am and had a simple home breakfast. We took bath in our swimming pool and he taught me how he swims and we spent quite a quality time in the pool. It started to drizzle suddenly and he backed off inside our home. At 4 PM, we started in a longtail boat to railay beach from Aonang beach. It was a short 15 mins boat ride but you will never know what you'll experience in the railay beach. Firstmost, the color of the water. The water is Crystal clear and turquoise in colour. you will even find your slippers floating in the water. And adding to more adventurous one, you will find a small cave like structure which is a small trek and taking this route will land you in the other private side of the beach. we took the path and reached the other side. we found many people sunbathing and climbing rocks over there. After enjoying the sunset in the railay beach, we were back to our room by 06.30 and had a very good tummy full dinner in Taj restaurant.
On Dec 12,2018 we have arranged for an 4 island tour (Phra-nang cave island, chicken island, Tup island and Poda island). We got up early and had some fruits,soup and oats.A tuk-tuk vehicle was waiting for us sharply at 08.00 in the morning and there started our blissful day. We were wearing the couple t-shirt which was a wedding gift by his friend, Vijay & Shilpa. We arrived at Noparathara pier at 09.00 and we were given an orange band to indicate these group orange band people should report to this speedboat 181. Similarly other band color indicates people going to JamesBond island / 7 island tour and so on. Our tourist instructor, Jay, was talking to us continuously in his funny English and we arrived at Phra-nang caves after 40 mins ride.
We were given 50 mins time to roam around this island. This island is full of caves and you could walk in the water from the beach to the caves located at the bottom of the hill. Many people were swimming, going near the caves, walking on the rocks and did rock climbing. We enjoyed seeing everything and careful not to wet our dresses in the first island itself, we just took many photos and returned back to our speedboat.
The next island was Tup island, just 15 mins away from Phra-nang. Jay has got an information on the weather that it is clear and it is been low tides over there. Highlight of this island is, when there is a low tide, as you can imagine, the land surface comes a little above the sea. Meaning, you can walk on the beautiful silky white sand and you will see water on your both sides. This land surface will act as a pathway between both islands and there has been many movies taken on this wonderful place. We were given about an hour to roam around this island and this island is pretty crowded. We took hell lot of pictures on this amazing beach and returned to our boat.
And then we were allowed to do snorkeling in the Chicken islands, which I never did. I took photos and videos of him doing snorkeling, and he himself admitted that this snorkeling was pretty hard as waves were pushing him along. Thank God, I wasn't there trying it :)
By the time we reached the last island, Poda island, it was lunch time there and Jay setup a small stall and arranged the pack of rice, chicken gravy and veg salad he brought from his place. I ate that plain steamed rice with veg salad, which was manageable while my darling ate his rice with chicken gravy. Later my sweetheart got me a plate full of fruits and we both took a walk along this huge island. We bathed in the way beaches of Poda island. You should realize when I say it is wavy. yeah, waves were too big and I was holding his hand tightly and kissing him fiercely. He will say jump when the waves are too big and we both will jump over the waves and laugh. It was a nice one. After a lot of pics, we were back to our speedboat and reached Krabi by 04.00 PM. It was a big day and we went for dinner and slept peacefully, after packing all our stuff.
Dec 13, 2018 10.00 AM we were all set for leaving our beautiful home. Halfheartedly we took a video of the Bungalow again and checked-out from there. Biew, Manager of the Jungle Village Bungalows, she had arranged a van for us to reach Phuket. We took that van and bid her bye. This van left us in another common-area in Krabi where we waited for about an hour and then we got into a mini-van to Phuket at around 11.30AM . This was nearly a 4 hour journey. I dozed off during the travel and my baby woke me up when we we reached Jungceylon, center stop of Phuket. Our last night stay in Phuket, Elangant Patong room was just 2 kms from Jungceylon and so we walked for 2kms and found our room. We rented a motorcycle first and immediately took of for our lunch because we haven't had anything since morning and it was about 04.45 PM by then. We ate Biryani in a nearby Indian restaurant and went to the Patong beach right away. While coming back from the beach to our room, we did some shopping in the Patong beach street. We were roaming in the street and riding all the way to and fro in all the streets for getting some nice items for home. We got some handbags, purses, pens, watches,keychains and fridge magnets. It was late after 11.00PM, we had dinner at Taj restaurant in Patong and returned to room. It was too late at night when we cross-verified all our packings are done properly and went to sleep.
On Dec 14, we got up at 08.00 AM, felt a little sad on leaving this great country today, so we quickly went to swim in the Patong beach one last time and reached our room by 09.00 AM. We both bathed and got ready, and went for breakfast at some Muslim hotel nearby, it started to drizzle all of a sudden and we are still out there. Finally we reached our room by 11.50 AM and a tuk-tuk was waiting for us to take us to the Phuket international airport. Our Flight from Phuket, Thai Air Asia was at 04.00 PM and we had some food in the airport itself. We got into the airplane and the flight was delayed by an hour almost due to some maintenance issue and I was getting a little worried because this time-delay shouldn't affect our check-in time for our connecting flight. As I expected, we reached Bangkok DMK airport by 07 PM and our connecting flight to Bangalore was at 08.20 PM. We rushed off to collect our baggage, struggled to find the international terminal in this DMK massive airport, checked-in the baggage, and went for the security check. We found a huge queue for the immigration and I thought it was wise to skip the queue. It was already 07.45 PM and I couldn't manage wasting another single minute. I went directly to that officer and had the process finished. Boarding had already started by the time we both went near the Gate. My sweetheart asked me to stand in the boarding queue and he went to get us something to eat. There we bought some chocolates also to give it to home. Finally we settled in our seats and the great Thai AirAsia airlines tookoff from Bangkok at 08.30 PM local time and landed in Bangalore airport by 10.30 PM local time. And there goes our first international honeymoon trip, a sweet memorable journey.
